About

Robinia Hill Vineyard was started in 2013 by Dave and Lynn Oliker on Skaneateles Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York.  Skaneateles Lake is seen by some as the new frontier of NY winegrowing.  The vineyard is named for the Robinia (Locust) trees that dot the property.  This very hard wood when made into barrels allows the wine to age slowly with much finesse yielding superior wines.  Skaneateles Lake is known around the globe as one of the cleanest lakes in the world.  It is with this in mind that in addition to the meticulous care for the vineyard, the wines are made clean and without additives.  The wines are treated in a very hands off approach without manipulations common in mass production wineries.  In this way each vintage is an expression of the grapes and the vineyard, and not the winemaker's hand.
